What is the core philosophy of Gingles Cares?

We believe independence grows through stability, accountability, and community. Gingles Cares provides a safe, supportive, shared-living environment where residents can build routines, work toward personal goals, and strengthen the skills needed for long term independence. 

Who is best suited for this program?

Gingles Cares provides independent shared housing for adults seeking a safe, stable, and supportive place to live. That includes veterans, adults receiving SSI,SSDI, individuals transitioning from treatment or recovery programs, young adults transitioning to independent living and other adults that can care for themselves & would benefit from a community living arrangment.

What does this program offer?

When our residents are able to meet their housing needs they are able to focus on other areas of their live. Gingles Cares provides access to a supportive community that wants to see you grow. This includes resources to help build credit, teach financial literacy, further their education and personal development. It is important to note that we are not a medical or personal care facility. We strictly provded housing & communtiy based support.

Does this environment foster a sober living?

We welcome individuals that are in recovery & can live independently. Alcohol & illegal drug use are NOT permitted on the property. This helps maintain a safe & supportive environment while those in recovery can thrive.

House Rules FAQs

Expectations for Community Living

What are the house curfew times?

To ensure a structured environment, curfews are set at 10:00 PM on weekdays and 11:00 PM on weekends. These times help maintain routine and respect for all residents.

Are guests permitted in the home?

We prioritize a maintaining safe space. While guests are generally restricted from private rooms, approved visitors are welcomed in common areas during designated daytime hours.

How are communal chores and responsibilities handled?

Living together means sharing responsibility. Each resident is assigned basic daily chores on a rotating basis to keep the home clean and foster accountability.

What is the policy regarding drug and alcohol testing?

Illegal drugs & substance use on the property are prohibited. Residents participating in a recovery-focused placement may be subject to additional sobriety expectations or drug/alcohol screening requirements. Specific expectations are reviewed with each resident before moving in on a case by case basis.

Payments FAQs

Weekly Fees
What are the housing costs?

Shared bedrooms are $175/week, $750/month & private bedrooms are $225/week, $1000 a month (subject to availability). 1 week minimum stay applies. Additional move-in requirements if applicable are discussed prior to move in.

Payment Methods
How can I pay my fees?

Residents will receive a link to an invoice for all housing fees. Payments can be made by ACH bank transfer, Zelle Cash App, or cash. Debit/Credit Cards payments may also be accepted when needed. 

Insurance
Is insurance accepted?

Our homes are private pay & do not accept health insurance. Some residents may receive housing assistance through approved agencies, veteran programs, community organizations, or other funding sources. We can coordinate with referring organizations when applicable.
